Tenstorrent is building cutting-edge AI technology and high-performance RISC-V CPUs. The company is revolutionizing performance, ease of use, and cost efficiency by unifying innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors.
As a Staff Physical Design Engineer on the Physical Design team, you will work on high-performance chip designs alongside world-class engineers. Your responsibilities will span the full physical design flow from synthesis to tapeout across various IP blocks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of design blocks from synthesis through sign-off, including floorplanning, place-and-route, clocking, and optimization
- Define physical design requirements in collaboration with front-end and architecture teams
- Coordinate with foundry partners, IP vendors, and design services during integration
- Drive improvements in design quality and optimize for area, power, and performance through flow tuning and RTL experiments
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality silicon
You will gain exposure to how high-performance CPU/SOC and AI chips are built at leading-edge technology nodes, learn techniques to push the limits of performance and power in real silicon, and understand how front-end, back-end, and validation teams collaborate to ship products.
The role is hybrid, based in Bangalore. Tenstorrent notes that your role and offer will align with experience demonstrated during interviews, which may differ from the level in this posting.
REQUIREMENTS:
