Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Staff Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MSA) Engineer to join the Flight Engineering team within the Air Dominance & Strike organization. The company develops advanced autonomous aircraft and defense systems, including the Fury Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) and other platforms like Barracuda, Roadrunner, Omen, and Thunder.
In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of various aerospace vehicles. You will work on challenging problems across Anduril's portfolio, including:
- Simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) algorithm development
- Software-In-The-Loop (SITL), Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL), and Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions
- Customer product training simulations
- Monte-Carlo simulation analysis
- Simulation and test data analysis tools and processes
- End-to-end configuration of SITL, HITL, and PITL for test vehicles supporting flight tests
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to model sub-system, system, and system-of-system dynamics. You will work with internal and external customers to understand simulation requirements and develop efficient modeling solutions. The role involves direct participation in flight testing of systems you develop, operating in a fast-paced, dynamic learning environment.
