PHIL is a San Francisco-based Series D health-tech startup founded in 2015, building a platform that streamlines prescription management and delivery by connecting doctors, pharmacies, patients, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. The company's B2B2C platform enables affordable and timely access to medicine while improving patient adherence and health outcomes.
The Staff Pharmacist will be a key individual contributor responsible for prescription verification, drug utilization review, and regulatory compliance. This is a remote, full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and operational excellence across the pharmacy platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prescription verification and drug utilization reviews to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Review Prior Authorization requests and manage prescription transfers to ensure timely medication delivery
- Execute new and ongoing pharmacy projects and initiatives to improve services and patient experience
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA standards and pharmacy law
- Collaborate across departments to improve patient health outcomes and medication adherence
- Demonstrate ownership of pharmacy operations, maintaining high standards for productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
- Manage multiple priorities with meticulous attention to detail
- Provide operational support to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and participate in cross-functional meetings and workgroups
- Stay current with industry developments and contribute to workflow improvements
Requirements:
- RPh required; PharmD strongly preferred
- Licensed pharmacist in state of residence; multiple state licensure preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a pharmacist
- Experience in a start-up environment or managerial position highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently
