ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer – Supply Chain Operations to design and optimize facility layouts and product flows across their fulfillment network. This is a high-autonomy role where you'll serve as the decision-maker for building design and layout optimization, directly impacting merchant experience and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and designing building layouts and product flow systems to optimize for merchant experience and operational efficiency
- Operating with autonomy as the primary decision-maker for facility design initiatives
- Leveraging lean/six sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to identify and eliminate process waste
- Developing new continuous improvement programs and providing training/guidance to operations teams
- Guiding ShipBob's operational scaling through process optimization and facility design
You'll work across ShipBob's fulfillment facilities, requiring 50% travel. The role is remote-based but requires presence in one of the eligible states (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, KY, IA, ID, IL, IN, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI).
