Salary: USD 116,501 - 138,752 / annual
ShipBob is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer for Supply Chain Operations to optimize product flows and drive continuous improvement across its warehouse network. This is a hybrid role based in either Bethlehem, PA or Aurora, IL, requiring 2 days onsite per week plus approximately 30% travel to other facilities (Chicago, Dallas, or Moreno Valley, CA).
In this role, you will operate with autonomy to identify and implement process improvements across ShipBob's supply chain operations. You'll develop product flows optimized for merchant experience and operational efficiency, leveraging lean/six sigma and continuous improvement methodologies. Key responsibilities include:
• Evaluate current supply chain practices and identify improvement opportunities
• Enforce quality control measures to reduce waste and enhance efficiency
• Improve fulfillment and transportation processes
• Evaluate employee tasks and responsibilities, recommending tools and procedures to boost productivity
• Investigate, develop project estimates, and manage operational projects
• Facilitate corrective and preventative action teams addressing customer complaints and internal quality issues
• Provide technical floor support, troubleshooting processes and guiding process improvement teams
• Develop CAD drawings, process flow charts, and cost-saving analyses
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on new processes and equipment planning
• Deliver variation reductions using process control methodology
• Define and document Standard Operating Procedures for new and modified processes
• Identify and remove barriers to successful project completion
• Manage process data collection and analysis for project tracking
• Establish and track key operational metrics
You will report to the IE, Supply Chain Operations, and guide the development of new continuous improvement programs while providing training and guidance to eliminate waste. This role requires spending significant time on the warehouse floor learning processes, troubleshooting issues, and participating in multiple improvement initiatives.
