Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Staff Global Sourcing Manager for Semiconductor (Memory/Storage) to serve as the domain expert for DRAM/NAND commodities and supplier partnerships. This is a high-impact role responsible for securing critical semiconductor chip components, materials, and services that power Anduril's defense systems.
You will develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies for semiconductor components, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Key responsibilities include:
• End-to-end ownership for delivering quality parts at the right cost and timeline
• Leading RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing processes for DRAM/NAND components
• Managing business relationships with external Contract Manufacturers, ensuring supply continuity, risk management, cost negotiations, and NPI-to-MP execution
• Partnering with Engineering teams and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements
• Performing detailed cost analysis of quote submissions, conducting deep-dive supply chain analysis, and making data-driven decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Supporting prototype requirements, executing against build milestones, and leading sourcing activities across cross-functional teams
• Influencing Contract Manufacturers' processes, CapEx decisions, and technology roadmaps
• Negotiating key supplier agreements to establish best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, payment, warranty, and service terms
• Providing strong technical direction within semiconductor commodities and guiding product strategy throughout the product lifecycle
• Managing operations efforts for developing new and adapting existing technologies
• Developing and executing commercial agreements reflecting project expectations, including fixed/variable costs, lead-times, schedules, and manufacturing capacities
• Conducting regular technology reviews to executive staff and management
• Owning supplier performance management, tracking delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics
• Serving as the primary escalation point for respective commodities
This role requires extensive cross-functional collaboration, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and executive teams to advance new supplier and product offerings while ensuring commercial, IP, and contractual agreements are properly established.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain commodity management of DRAM/NAND, semiconductors, and/or sourcing engineering
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Ability to relocate to Costa Mesa, CA if not already local; role requires onsite presence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree in electrical engineering or MBA
• Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering
• Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry
• Proficiency in TCO analysis for data-driven component and supplier selection in product-based ecosystems
• Strategic thinking with experience developing commodities strategy/roadmap with key engineering stakeholders
• Proven leadership in driving and influencing cross-functional teams toward common goals
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels
• Ability to wear multiple hats and support team objectives
• Fluency in cross-functional areas to fill gaps and remove roadblocks
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance
