CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff FPGA Verification Engineer to provide technical leadership for the verification of FPGA-based hardware solutions for satellites, spacecraft, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other aerospace platforms. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic startup environment focused on developing cutting-edge communication systems for space and airborne applications.
In this position, you will lead complex FPGA verification, debugging, and qualification activities supporting product development. You will evaluate simulation results and engineering risks while directing solutions that improve product performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include validating FPGA designs through verification planning, qualification testing, failure analysis, and root cause investigations; developing verification plans and review packages supporting engineering decisions; supporting customer meetings and design reviews with FPGA engineering guidance; and driving initiatives that enhance FPGA performance, engineering efficiency, product reliability, and design quality.
You will work in a cross-functional environment, contributing to product development by establishing FPGA verification methodologies, resolving complex engineering challenges, and advancing FPGA solutions that improve mission success. This role requires technical depth in FPGA verification combined with leadership capability to mentor and guide verification efforts across the organization.
