Salary: USD 191,000 - 292,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Flight Software team develops flight computer vehicle software for airborne and subsea vehicles, including tactical missile systems, strategic weapons, and hypersonic strike and defense systems. In this role, you will develop, test, and integrate cutting-edge GNC (Guidance, Navigation, and Control) architectures for subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic autonomous systems. You'll work on mission-critical flight control software that powers Anduril's products including Barracuda and Roadrunner missiles, as well as other classified programs. Key responsibilities include: - Develop microcontroller software using real-time operating systems (RTOS) - Develop device drivers, protocols, and APIs for aircraft sensors - Integrate new features and sensors into flight controller software - Create aircraft control systems and SITL/HITL test fixtures - Analyze flight test results and support device manufacturing efforts - Support operational aircraft deployments You should have experience in both commercial (product-focused) and public sector (defense) technical environments, with a passion for avionics and flight software. The team values bias towards delivery and iteration, willingness to take calculated risks, and a passion for solving real-world problems quickly. REQUIREMENTS: - 12+ years of industry experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent - Direct experience with DO-178 standards or similar safety certifications - Direct experience in aircraft embedded software or other safety-critical systems - Strong C programming skills - Background in low-level embedded software architecture, design, and development - Low-level device driver development experience with microcontrollers and application processors - Proficiency with embedded systems tools: compilers, debuggers, IDEs - Familiarity with communications buses and protocols: CAN, CANFD, ARINC-825, ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553, UART/RS232/RS422/RS485, SPI, QSPI, I2C, Ethernet - Strong debugging skills using instrumentation (oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers) - Familiarity with revision control systems - Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance
