Salary: USD 160,000 - 245,000 / annual

True Anomaly builds autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment and counter threats. As a Staff Enterprise Security Engineer, you will architect, deploy, and manage advanced threat detection and incident response configurations across the company's complex spacecraft modeling and simulation software systems. Your mission is to safeguard True Anomaly's software infrastructure—the central nervous system connecting military objectives, astrodynamics, and autonomous spacecraft control—against emerging cyber threats. You will take ownership of pioneering greenfield security projects, ensuring resilience of crucial software that underpins the company's engineering and product innovation. Your work will directly shape the future landscape of space technology. Key responsibilities include conducting regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk assessments; owning and implementing security hardening for enterprise and corporate systems; providing subject matter expertise on enterprise security; participating in on-call rotation for security events; recommending and guiding implementation of cloud and on-premise asset management solutions; identifying and filling deficiencies in the security program; collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the system development lifecycle; monitoring and analyzing security logs from SIEMs, IDS/IPS, and other sources to identify suspicious activities and respond to incidents; assisting in development and maintenance of security policies and procedures; staying current with security trends and threats; supporting internal stakeholders on compliance and best practices; and participating in change management and change review board processes. The role is based onsite in one of three locations: Denver, CO; Long Beach, CA; or Washington, DC. **REQUIREMENTS** Minimum 8 years of experience in information security with a focus on security engineering. Proficiency with security tools and technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection. Deep understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploitation methods. Strong engineering understanding of common enterprise technologies, both on-premises and SaaS. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Elixir, C, or Rust). Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalents are highly desirable. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent professional experience. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Familiarity with Threat Detection Engineering and security operations practices and tools. Experience working at a startup and/or in the defense industry. Eligibility to obtain or active TS/SCI clearance. **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS** Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State to comply with ITAR regulations.
