Armis from ServiceNow is building an autonomous defense platform for the Agentic Enterprise, combining cybersecurity, identity, and AI capabilities. The company protects attack surfaces and manages cyber risk exposure in real time using machine learning and generative AI as core engines.
As a Staff Data Scientist on the Vulnerability Management, Detection, and Remediation (VMDR) team, you will own complex problem domains end-to-end, from early-stage research through production deployment. You'll architect and deploy production-ready AI models and system pipelines using Python, AWS, and Spark infrastructure. Your work will focus on integrating state-of-the-art LLM and generative AI workflows into core VMDR features to drive automated detection, prioritization, and remediation insights.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving complex AI and ML initiatives through the full product lifecycle, from prototyping and domain analysis to production-grade deployment and monitoring
- Designing and building production-ready AI models and system pipelines in Python using modern cloud and big data infrastructure
- Integrating generative AI and LLM workflows into core security features
- Partnering with domain researchers, data engineers, and product leaders to translate complex cybersecurity problems into high-impact AI solutions
- Taking full ownership of technical problem domains and staying ahead of emerging AI trends
This is a high-trust, collaborative environment where you'll work with a distributed team and have flexibility in your work approach.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Cybersecurity domain experience (Vulnerability Management, Asset Intelligence, or Threat Detection) is advantageous but not mandatory
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, agentic workflows, and orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, vLLM, or similar)
- Deep algorithmic and theoretical knowledge in Machine Learning, supported by an M.Sc. or Ph.D. (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of software development experience with strong, production-grade Python coding abilities and experience deploying ML systems at scale
- Self-driven, autodidactic approach with natural ownership of problem domains and ability to thrive in collaborative team environments
