Salary: USD 149,800 - 262,200 / annual
ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Applications Dev Engineer to join the Release Management team within Digital Technology Operations. This role focuses on platform administration and engineering excellence across ServiceNow and SAP systems, supporting internal stakeholders and maintaining the health of critical business platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of production and sub-production environments, including configurations, integrations, and application administration activities
- Analyze incidents to identify application and system problems, providing timely and accurate solutions
- Troubleshoot integration and user management issues by examining application and system logs
- Develop procedures and scripts to automate manual processes and improve monitoring capabilities
- Engage with product engineering and support teams to resolve issues and coordinate planned activities
- Maintain comprehensive system documentation for configuration and troubleshooting
- Develop and share best practices for admin operations based on lessons learned
- Design technical debt remediation workflows and standard controls frameworks (including Separation of Duties controls) across platforms
- Participate in on-call coverage and activities outside core hours as needed
This is a high-impact role that extends beyond daily administration to mature release and instance management through automation and governance improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 3+ years of IT industry experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of web applications and SaaS platforms
- ServiceNow platform administration experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of SAP administration
- Experience with application logs and Splunk (preferred)
- Good understanding of ITIL framework or experience in ITIL-based environments
- Experience supporting or administering other enterprise platforms is an advantage
