Xanadu is building quantum computers designed to be useful and accessible globally. As Senior Technical Program Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of new quantum hardware systems on schedule and within budget, serving as the high-velocity orchestrator of the project lifecycle.
You will own the DARPA QBI program and other government contracts, acting as the primary liaison with DARPA and communicating progress on critical milestones. Your core responsibilities include:
• Define and maintain the master program schedule across all modular subsystem tranches, ensuring cost control and on-time delivery
• Serve as primary contact with DARPA, communicating program progress and key updates
• Proactively identify technical and operational blockers in the development pipeline and orchestrate rapid-response solutions
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts to manage dependencies and ensure seamless integration across teams
• Optimize allocation of personnel and specialized equipment to support critical path items
• Drive process improvements to increase reliability and repeatability of hardware deployment and validation workflows
• Perform continuous system risk analysis to anticipate delays and design recovery strategies
• Manage multi-million-dollar budgets and complex technical supply chains
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto with the option for US Remote (with regular monthly/quarterly travel to Toronto).
REQUIREMENTS:
• BSc or MSc in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
• Proficient in MS Project Plan tool usage
• PMP project management certification
• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management, specifically driving delivery of complex hardware-software systems
• Demonstrated expertise in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Gantt, Critical Path Analysis) for hardware environments
• Proven track record managing multi-million-dollar budgets and complex technical supply chains
• Exceptional leadership skills with focus on accountability, timeline adherence, and resolving team-level friction
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience delivering programs for US government entities (DARPA, ARPA, NIST)
• Experience in high-stakes industries (Semiconductor, Aerospace, Satellite engineering, Quantum computing) where schedule slips have significant mission impact
• Experience with vendor management and defining tool acceptance criteria
• Background in streamlining automated validation workflows to reduce time-to-delivery
