Despegar, a leading travel marketplace in Latin America, is seeking a Senior Supply Development Analyst to join their team in Montevideo. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, data analysis, and operational excellence, driving sourcing and supply optimization across non-air products including accommodations, car rentals, parks, and travel assistance services.
You will serve as a key liaison between the Supply Development team and Commercial stakeholders, owning the strategic relationship and ensuring alignment on priorities and execution. Your responsibilities include:
• Building and executing the sourcing strategy for non-air products, identifying market opportunities and sizing initiatives for prioritization
• Conducting financial analysis of commercial planning to develop diagnostics and strategic roadmaps
• Implementing automation and AI solutions to enhance sourcing efficiency and performance analytics
• Defining comprehensive action plans for business opportunity implementation, including process design, training, tools, reporting, KPI frameworks, and governance models
• Setting commercial objectives and KPIs for the Sourcing team and monitoring performance
• Identifying business opportunities and proposing improvement alternatives
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Sourcing, Product, Revenue Management, IT, BI, Legal, and Media Sales teams to develop and deploy commercial proposals, tools, and processes
This is a high-impact role requiring both analytical rigor and strategic thinking. You'll work in a hybrid model (60% in-office at Montevideo Zonamerica) within a fast-moving, innovation-focused organization that values autonomy and real impact.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Economics
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in BI, Commercial Planning, Data Science, Commercial Analysis, Business Analysis, or project development
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
• Advanced SQL skills
• Data analysis experience and proficiency with data visualization tools
• Fluent English (required)
• Portuguese (desirable)
• Power BI or Metabase experience (desirable)
