Salary: USD 164,000 - 205,000 / annual
Zscaler is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to join the Reliability Engineering and Infrastructure Services (REIS) organization. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose (3 days/week on-site) with remote flexibility, reporting to the Cloud Operations Manager.
You will lead complex, internal infrastructure and services initiatives, including large-scale data center migrations, new cloud environment builds, and cross-functional technical projects. This is an internally-facing, hands-on technical program management role—distinct from product management—focused on orchestrating infrastructure projects across engineering, operations, security, and cloud teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end project management and execution of complex infrastructure projects, DC migrations, and cloud services programs, including project charters, detailed plans, milestones, and delivery tracking
- Partner closely with internal technical teams (system engineers, infrastructure architects, cloud operations, security, engineering leads) to ensure seamless execution and stakeholder alignment
- Establish robust project/program management frameworks, playbooks, continuous process improvement initiatives, and operational documentation
- Drive proactive risk management, technical dependency tracking, and executive governance; identify blockers early and communicate strategic progress to leadership
- Maintain high data integrity across operational platforms and PM tools (Jira, Confluence, dashboards, spreadsheets) to enable transparent, data-informed decisions

Requirements:
- 10+ years of hands-on technical project and program management experience in cloud operations, networking, infrastructure, data center operations, cloud footprint building, or DC migrations in a SaaS/cloud environment
- Proven hands-on technical project management background working directly with internal infrastructure, servers, networking, and cloud services engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience driving internal-facing cross-functional projects, new cloud deployments, data center migrations, and infrastructure programs across system engineering, support, product management, and cloud operations
- Proficiency with operational information systems and PM tools (spreadsheets, dashboards, Jira, Confluence)
- Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance workflows and problem-solving
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) certification
- Hands-on experience leading multi-phase data center migrations, building new cloud infrastructure/footprints, hardware refresh, or cloud migration programs
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001, FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, or related federal compliance standards
