ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its team in Hyderabad. In this role, you will design and implement features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring. You'll write high-quality, well-tested, maintainable code and actively participate in code reviews. You'll break down ambiguous problems into clear technical plans and execute independently, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
You will contribute to architectural decisions within your team's scope of ownership, debug and resolve complex production issues (including on-call rotation participation), and mentor junior engineers through pairing, code review, and design discussions. You'll champion engineering best practices around testing, documentation, and CI/CD, and participate actively in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

**Requirements:**
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
- 1+ year of practical experience with AI/ML-powered features, agentic systems, or LLM-based tooling
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python
- Experience designing and building scalable backend services or full-stack applications
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals
- Experience with REST/API-driven development and integration patterns
- Track record of owning features from design to production
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in complex, distributed systems
- Exposure to AI-native development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
