Hermeus is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist focused on Avionics & Mission Systems to lead sourcing and procurement of critical avionics, electrical, and mission systems hardware. This role manages purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and order execution across the product lifecycle—from early development through production phases.
Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing and procuring avionics and mission systems components
- Managing supplier relationships and negotiations
- Executing purchase orders and tracking order fulfillment
- Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management teams
- Supporting both development and production programs
- Ensuring compliance and quality standards in procurement
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage aerospace environment. You will work cross-functionally to support critical hardware acquisition for advanced aerospace systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong vendor management, procurement expertise, and the ability to balance cost, quality, and schedule in a dynamic startup setting.
