AEVEX is seeking a Senior Manager of Procurement to lead sourcing strategy and supplier management across direct and indirect materials. This role owns the full procurement lifecycle: developing and executing sourcing strategies aligned with cost, quality, delivery, and risk objectives; leading and mentoring a team of purchasing professionals; overseeing supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and performance management; negotiating contracts and pricing agreements to drive cost savings; and building strategic supplier partnerships.
Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends and commodity data to inform decisions and mitigate supply chain volatility; implementing procurement policies and systems to improve accuracy, transparency, and compliance; monitoring KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance, inventory, lead times) and reporting to leadership; driving continuous improvement in purchasing processes and tools; supporting new product introductions by aligning procurement with engineering and production; and ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, particularly FAR/DFAR requirements in federal procurement.
The ideal candidate brings deep manufacturing supply chain experience, strong analytical capabilities, and proven ability to build strategic partnerships. Required expertise includes FAR/DFAR and federal procurement processes, ERP and procurement analytics tools, contract management, vendor relationship management, and team leadership. Leadership competencies include talent identification and retention, coaching and mentoring, transparent communication, performance management, and strategic sourcing and supply chain management. This is a full-time, in-office role in Tampa, Florida.
