Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 / annual
Amperesand is building intelligent, software-defined power infrastructure products based on advanced Solid State Transformer technology. The company is addressing a critical infrastructure gap: electricity demand is skyrocketing due to AI data centers, electric vehicles, and industrial growth, yet power infrastructure supply chains haven't meaningfully evolved in nearly 100 years. Amperesand's products enable faster deployment, greater efficiency, and dynamic energy management for data centers, EV charging, renewables, microgrids, and industrial installations.
As Senior Manager of New Product Introduction (NPI), you will lead the NPI technical team and manage product lifecycles from concept through production ramp. You will oversee cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product development, supply chain, and manufacturing to deliver successful product development milestones. Key responsibilities include:
• Building and managing the NPI tech team to support engineering and manufacturing development
• Managing product lifecycles and driving development/build phases from concept to production ramp
• Leading cross-functional teams to collaborate and achieve product development milestones
• Controlling budget and cost while ensuring program timelines, scope, and quality commitments are met
• Communicating program status regularly to executives, partners, and stakeholders
• Managing material readiness and inventory with supply chain and product management teams
• Ensuring material availability for build cycles while controlling quality and inventory levels
• Providing direction to NPI project engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to align priorities, requirements, risks, and schedules
• Driving cost reduction efforts across programs in collaboration with supply chain and engineering
• Developing and executing NPI and program management processes for efficient execution
• Identifying program risks, defining mitigation plans, and ensuring appropriate measures minimize impact
The role is based in Reno, Nevada, with travel up to 20% including international.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical power products
• 12+ years of experience in program management and/or engineering with demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects/programs simultaneously
• Proven ability to lead cross-functionally and manage large teams/projects
• Exceptionally strong communication skills (visual, verbal, written) for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in engineering organizations focused on electrical systems, power electronics, or similar products in manufacturing/production environments
• Ability to work under pressure while managing competing priorities, challenges, and risks with effective adaptation
• Excellent written and verbal English communication with all stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
