Nutanix is seeking a Senior Manager of Global Environmental Health & Safety to lead comprehensive workplace safety, emergency preparedness, and crisis management programs across the organization. This role combines strategic program ownership with hands-on execution, managing workplace safety protocols, ergonomics, inspections, training, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will own site-specific emergency response plans and lead the People team's crisis management program while partnering with Physical Security, Facilities, Legal, People Business Partners, and business leaders. Key responsibilities include: managing strategic vendor relationships for compliance documentation and inspections; conducting risk assessments to identify existing risk factors; drafting and updating EH&S documentation to meet regulatory obligations; analyzing and implementing changes from new laws and regulations; investigating accidents and incidents to identify corrective actions; ensuring appropriate EH&S equipment and training programs are available; maintaining and improving EH&S policies, strategies, and goals in compliance with legislative requirements; serving as the main point of contact for external governmental inquiries; developing and maintaining global site-specific emergency response plans including evacuation procedures and medical response protocols; planning and leading emergency preparedness activities such as fire evacuations and safety drills; developing EH&S training and awareness materials; managing the EH&S operations budget; and directing safety plans for company-sponsored events. You will lead a team responsible for coordinating and advising the business on all aspects of EH&S, implementing standards, processes, and risk management through direct and managed team activity. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, emergency management, and crisis management, with proven experience leading or managing EH&S programs globally. Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, workplace safety regulations, risk assessments, incident management, and corrective action processes is essential. Experience developing emergency response plans, managing crisis programs, and leading training and drills is required. ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications are advantageous. You must demonstrate the ability to handle sophisticated issues, work independently in cross-functional teams with minimal supervision, and maintain high ethical standards while handling confidential information.
