Evvy is a precision women's health company leveraging the vaginal microbiome to improve patient outcomes. Backed by $60M+ in funding, Evvy serves over 100,000 patients and 3,000 providers nationwide with a validated Vaginal Microbiome Test and AI-powered personalized care platform. The company has built the world's largest vaginal microbiome dataset, a proprietary foundation driving breakthroughs in infertility, preterm birth, gynecological cancers, and related conditions.
You will be a founding member of Evvy's Business Operations team, operating as a general manager across major strategic initiatives. This role sits at the center of company operations and growth, requiring you to own strategy through execution, then develop strategic perspectives on the next set of big bets. You will also help build the Evvy operating system that enables the company and CEO to execute effectively against ambitious goals.
Key responsibilities include:
**Drive New Business Bets**: Act as a GM for major strategic initiatives tied to core company metrics—whether new products, channels, markets, or verticals. Set strategy, build plans, assemble cross-functional teams, and move initiatives from thesis to launch. Make recommendations on vendors, budget allocation, and hiring to leadership. Determine when initiatives are ready to transition to functional owners or spin up new teams.
**Own Strategy Sprints**: Lead analysis on Evvy's highest-level strategic questions not yet on the roadmap, such as reimbursement pathways, product expansion (market sizing, competitive analysis), and international growth. Develop perspectives and recommendations to guide leadership decisions on priorities and sequencing. Partner with functional leaders to translate decisions into actionable next steps.
**Engineer the Evvy Operating System**: Support company-wide systems and processes that translate strategy into alignment and execution, including quarterly/annual planning, KPIs, business reviews, and All Hands meetings. Ensure company priorities translate into clear team-level ownership with appropriate resourcing and measurable outcomes. Spot organizational friction and decentralized problems as the company scales and resolve them proactively.
**Force Multiply the CEO**: Work closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff on recurring and high-priority work, including investor relations, advisory board engagement, board presentations, and external touchpoints. Provide flexible support in high-priority areas where the CEO needs additional leverage.
The role is intentionally broad and dynamic. You will work on the highest-priority company needs, which will evolve as the business grows. Success requires quickly getting up the learning curve, bringing structure and execution to ambiguous situations, and prioritizing exceptionally well. You will always own a piece of the business end-to-end and move it forward.
You will report to Evvy's Chief of Staff & Head of BizOps and partner closely with co-founders (primarily the CEO) and functional team leads. Evvy is an in-person team based in New York, working from the office 4 days a week (Wednesdays remote).
**Requirements**:
- 5–8 years of experience combining strategy work (consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, venture capital, strategic finance) and operating experience at a fast-growing startup
- Proven track record leading cross-functional, ambiguous initiatives with real ownership and meaningful outcomes
- Strong analytical skills adaptable to new use cases: building forecasts, sizing markets, quantifying launch plans
- Ability to move between big-picture strategy and operational detail needed to build something
- Thrive in high-ownership, high-ambiguity situations with thoughtful judgment, bias toward action, and adaptability
- Equally excited by building plans and executing them
- Exceptional, clear communicator (written and verbal) who brings leadership and cross-functional teams along at the right altitude
- Adept at building trust and credibility across levels and functions without relying on title or top-down authority
- Energized by context switching and owning a wide swath of the business
**Helpful but not required**:
- Experience in digital health or women's health
- Experience in venture capital with purview into consumer health
