Verkada is seeking a Senior Global Operations Trade & Compliance Manager to lead international logistics, customs compliance, and supply chain operations. This role manages global logistics networks, ensures regulatory compliance across international markets, optimizes logistics costs, and drives strategic supply chain initiatives.
Key responsibilities include optimizing shipping methods and routes based on cost, speed, and service requirements; coordinating inbound and outbound logistics for multiple distribution hubs; monitoring fulfillment costs by geography and implementing cost optimization strategies; handling exceptional shipments (hazmat, oversized, time-sensitive); leading customs clearance processes for all international shipments; managing relationships with customs brokers and international freight forwarders; ensuring compliance with country-specific import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements (USMCA, EU trade rules); navigating complex regulatory requirements by market including product certifications, NOMs, ERP memberships, and hazmat classifications; supporting new market entry initiatives; staying current on changing international trade regulations; developing fulfillment roadmaps and long-term supply chain strategies; collaborating with product, engineering, and finance teams on transfer pricing and cost modeling; and identifying and implementing process improvements.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of supply chain management experience with at least 6 years in international logistics and customs/trade compliance. Deep knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, and trade agreements is essential. Proven experience managing relationships with 3PLs, customs brokers, and freight forwarders, along with expertise in customs clearance, commercial documentation, and import/export compliance across multiple countries, is required.
