In this Senior Full-Stack Engineer role, you will be at the forefront of developing solutions to improve railway operations. You'll work in a cross-functional team alongside data engineers, full-stack engineers, and DevOps engineers, focused on developing and enhancing features for the switch monitoring product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working as a software developer in a cross-functional team focused on developing and enhancing features for the switch monitoring product
- Taking technical leadership for projects in your team, actively collaborating with the revenue team, analyzing requirements, and aligning technical dependencies across teams
- Defining and promoting common technical standards across all teams alongside other full-stack engineers
- Owning your designs and code, bringing good coding practices throughout the full product life cycle, and keeping other team members accountable to meet goals
The role offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Munich office. REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience developing frontend and backend functionality, deploying to cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Experience building frontends with modern frameworks (preferably React and TypeScript) and various backend technologies (preferably Python, Java, SpringBoot)
- Experience with multiple database technologies
- Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambdas, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, API Gateway) or similar services from other cloud platforms
- Nice to have: experience working with data pipelines
- As a generalist, eager to continuously learn and open to switching between technical domains (Backend, Frontend, infrastructure, Data Engineering)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in close team setups
- Execution-oriented approach with a focus on getting things done
