Rula, a Series C mental health platform, is hiring a Senior EAP Operations Associate to join the Financial Operations team. Reporting to the Payment Application and Credit Manager, you will independently manage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) partner billing cycles, prepare and submit billing files, review remittances and payment feedback, and investigate billing discrepancies. You'll collaborate across internal teams and external EAP partners to resolve payment issues and ensure accurate billing and reconciliation.
Key responsibilities include identifying workflow improvement opportunities, supporting automation and process initiatives, and helping scale billing processes as new EAP partners are onboarded. This role requires strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, with a focus on driving operational improvements in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You'll need 3+ years of billing, collections, or related operational experience in a high-growth setting, with proven ability to independently optimize processes using tools like Salesforce, AdvancedMD, payer portals (e.g., Availity), and Google Suite/Microsoft Office. Strong Excel/Google Sheets proficiency is essential. You should excel at applying structure and prioritization to solve problems, anticipate future needs, and create clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred experience includes healthcare or startup environments, familiarity with diverse insurance billing types (commercial, EAP, Medicare/Medicaid), and expertise in revenue cycle management, payment posting, and credit management for insurance and governmental payers. Tech fluency with platforms like ZenDesk and EHR systems is a plus.
