As Senior Disputes Operations Analyst, you will be a subject matter expert managing the complete lifecycle of complex client dispute claims across debit cards, credit cards, and non-debit transactions. You will file dispute claims with external vendors, conduct thorough upfront and post-resolution investigations, and maintain strict adherence to internal SLAs. Key responsibilities include handling formal appeals for denied claims, managing escalations from Customer Service, and providing guidance to peer analysts. You will manage a high-volume daily queue of complex and high-value dispute claims, accurately filing claims with third-party vendors and financial institutions. You'll conduct meticulous data review and analysis to validate claim legitimacy, lead comprehensive investigations into unauthorized transactions, and monitor for emerging patterns of card fraud, account takeover activity, and dispute abuse. You'll own the formal appeals process for denied claims and serve as an escalation point for Customer Service on complex inquiries. Additionally, you will act as a peer mentor and resource to other analysts, collaborate cross-functionally on non-card recovery efforts (ACH debits, outbound ACH transfers, wires, checks), and work with Risk, Fraud Operations, and Product teams to share insights and support control improvements. You'll maintain clear professional communication with internal stakeholders, partner banks, and vendors, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; 3–5+ years of experience in dispute resolution within commercial fintech or banking; demonstrated expertise in Network rules (Visa/Mastercard), NACHA rules, and wire/check recovery frameworks; proven experience handling claim appeals and resolving escalations; strong complex root-cause analysis and problem-solving abilities; exceptional written communication skills; and strong organizational and time management capabilities.
