The Black Tux is a modern men's formalwear company that designs and manufactures high-quality formal wear using premium natural fabrics. The company operates both rental and retail channels through 40+ physical showrooms and direct-to-consumer e-commerce, serving customers who want confidence and perfect fit for big events and everyday wear.
As Senior Director of Supply Chain and Production, you will lead the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring the right products with the right quality reach customers on time and at the right cost. You will report to senior leadership and own all aspects of supply chain operations across a complex, omni-channel business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage inventory supply chains for garments, packaging materials, and supplies across direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels
- Oversee inbound and outbound freight and logistics for products and supplies; manage supplier relationships for rental and retail orders
- Coordinate intercompany freight between distribution centers and 40+ retail locations
- Develop and expand the supplier base, conducting research, interviews, site visits, and competitive RFQ/RFP processes
- Partner with Merchandising on new product development and introduction
- Own KPI metrics tracking supply chain and production performance
- Align inventory supply with demand forecasts to optimize stock and service levels
- Ensure compliance with labor, safety, and sourcing standards across the supply chain
- Build systems, processes, and decision-making infrastructure supporting supply chain operations
Requirements:
- 8–12+ years of experience in international supply chain management, sourcing, logistics, or procurement, including 3–5+ years in a leadership/director-level role
- Deep understanding of apparel manufacturing, men's suiting, and tailored clothing with demonstrated success matching supply with demand in seasonal-driven businesses
- Proficiency with ERP/Supply Chain systems (MS Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and strong command of KPIs
- Direct experience managing end-to-end supply chains with international/offshore manufacturing (Asia, Latin America, or similar apparel sourcing regions)
- Proven track record managing vendor relationships across multiple countries, including factory audits, negotiations, and performance management
- Experience with import/export logistics, customs compliance, and international freight (ocean, air) management; working knowledge of Incoterms, tariffs/duties, and trade regulations
- Sound financial background including budget ownership and cost modeling
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Willingness to travel between work sites in Los Angeles and Pennsylvania, other company sites, and internal supplier and manufacturing plants
