CIQ builds enterprise infrastructure powering the world's most demanding workloads, from operating systems through AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and cloud-native orchestration. The company delivers speed, security, scalability, and sovereignty to major enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions. CIQ is the founding support partner of Rocky Linux and developer of RLC Pro Enterprise Linux distributions, Fuzzball workload orchestration, Warewulf Pro cluster provisioning, and Ascender Pro automation.
This Senior Customer Support Engineer role is a senior individual contributor position within Customer Engineering, operating on a "Human First, AI-Enabled" principle. You will own the most complex technical escalations across CIQ's enterprise customer base, from initial report through verified root cause to confirmed resolution, including issues requiring kernel-level debugging. Responsibilities include serving as the senior technical point of contact for strategic accounts, building deep understanding of customer architectures and workloads to advise proactively rather than reactively, and debugging Linux at depth across kernel, user space, systemd, storage, networking, and performance across bare metal, virtualized, containerized, and cloud infrastructure.
You will set the technical standard for the support organization, emphasizing reproduction discipline, root-cause rigor, and clear separation between observed symptoms and inferred causes in all customer communications. Mentoring support engineers and reviewing their technical work is essential to growing team capability. You will drive customer-facing defects into Engineering with complete reproduction, diagnosis, and sufficient context for unambiguous fixes, then track each through to release. This role requires fluency in Arabic and is preferred for EMEA/APAC time zones, though remote globally.
