Rula is a mental health platform on a mission to make mental healthcare more accessible by streamlining the credentialing and enrollment process for providers. As a Senior Credentialing & Enrollment Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping and scaling the systems that support rapid growth.
In this role, you will contribute directly to improving the provider experience by ensuring timely and accurate credentialing and enrollment. Your responsibilities include scoping enrollment requirements for new payer implementations, submitting applications, and guiding providers through each step of the credentialing process. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support new payer launches and share operational insights that drive efficiency. Additionally, you'll help educate and support credentialing and enrollment associates as new processes and payers are introduced.
Your work will have meaningful, tangible impact on provider onboarding speed and accuracy. You'll be responsible for developing, documenting, and optimizing processes into clear, easy-to-understand documentation that scales across the organization. Rula is a remote-first, Series C-funded company currently hiring across most U.S. states (excluding Hawaii). The company is committed to mental health equity and has a strong culture of inclusion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience within healthcare settings, working with or for health insurance plans, networks, or credentialing verification organizations
- 2+ years of experience enrolling providers with regional or national payers
- Experience working collaboratively across teams in cross-functional roles (Account Delivery or Provider Success)
- Experience developing, documenting, and optimizing new processes into easy-to-understand documentation
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and CRM/ticketing platforms (Salesforce, Zendesk), with demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and learn new software (e.g., Airtable, Certify)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in fast-paced environments such as startups or large healthcare systems
- Experience enrolling providers with regional or national payers, preferably in behavioral health
- Familiarity with CAQH, NPPES, CMS, and NCQA requirements
- Experience working with a Credentials Verification Organization (CVO)
