The Nuclear Company is a Series A AI-enabled startup pioneering fleet-scale nuclear reactor design and deployment to accelerate safe, reliable, and affordable nuclear energy. The Sr. Category Manager – Indirect/Corporate will develop and execute sourcing strategies across indirect spend categories supporting corporate functions including IT, professional services, marketing, workplace, and facilities. Key responsibilities include: **Category Strategy & Planning:** Partner with business stakeholders to develop category strategies aligned to company priorities. Analyze spend patterns and supply markets to identify cost optimization and value creation opportunities. Provide recommendations on supplier strategies, including GPO utilization, strategic partnerships, and marketplace channels. **Sourcing & Execution:** Lead structured sourcing processes (RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations) in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Support commercial negotiations, pricing structures, and contract terms to achieve best-value outcomes. Coordinate sourcing initiative execution including contracting, supplier onboarding, and implementation. **Stakeholder Partnership:** Serve as trusted procurement advisor to functional leaders across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Facilities, and Marketing. Collaborate to shape sourcing approaches that align business needs with market capabilities. Adapt engagement level from advisory support to leading sourcing activities. Influence adoption of preferred suppliers and purchasing channels through data-driven insights. **Supplier & Contract Management:** Contribute to supplier performance management, risk mitigation, and relationship development. Support contract lifecycle management and value realization activities. **Process & Systems:** Contribute to building standardized, scalable procurement processes and ERP-enabled capabilities to support company growth. The role is accountable for delivering measurable value including cost savings, cost avoidance, and improved supplier performance.
