Volta is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform building compute utilities for enterprise AI. The company is founder-led, recently launched with a $10B strategic partnership with a leading frontier AI lab, Series A funding from Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund. The team spans London, Palo Alto, and New York with rapid growth planned. This role supports the Senior Manager of Business Process SOX and Internal Controls, focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control frameworks. Key responsibilities include: - Design and documentation of business processes for allocated areas, including process maps and RACM (Responsibility Assignment and Control Matrix) documentation - Preparation for close meetings with process owners, heads of departments, and CFOs to identify control gaps, agree on remediations, and validate key controls - Coordination with the IT General Controls (ITGC) SOX team to understand the full control landscape, including segregation of duties (SOD), inappropriate user controls (IUC), and joiner/leaver processes - Execution of internal, Section 302, and Section 404 management control testing with timely completion and quality assurance - Documentation of design and testing results in standardized templates and tools - Change management to keep process documentation current and accurate - Preparation of SOX Steering Committee and Audit Committee updates - Training and guidance to control and process owners on SOX requirements - Maintenance of design, testing, and remediation logs Key accountabilities center on timely, high-quality completion of design and testing work, and providing pragmatic remediation recommendations that balance SOX compliance requirements with practical implementation. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–3 years of experience working on SOX programmes - Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred (not mandatory) - Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements - Proficiency with process mapping tools (MS Visio, GRC tools, etc.) - Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; ability to communicate, challenge, and influence constructively - Knowledge of French and/or Portuguese desirable - Collaborative team player with positive and flexible attitude - Strong project management skills - Proven experience communicating and engaging across multiple departments - Open to international travel
