Apex manufactures satellite buses (spacecraft platforms) at scale for the commercial space industry. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations for these critical aerospace components, leading a production team to meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include supervising and coordinating daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. You will train, mentor, and manage production employees, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. You'll monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and address issues promptly. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to resolve production issues and optimize processes. You'll maintain accurate production records (output, downtime, waste) and prepare daily/weekly reports. Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and standard operating procedures is essential. The role requires identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. You'll coordinate with inventory and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery of finished goods. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in high-rate manufacturing/production environments. 2+ years leading a manufacturing/engineering team or cross-functional projects. Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems (ISO, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma). Proven leadership and team-building skills with ability to motivate and develop employees. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
