Quince is a Series D-funded direct-to-consumer fashion company founded in 2018, disrupting retail by offering high-quality essentials at transparent, low prices through sustainable and fair manufacturing. The company uses AI, analytics, and automation to optimize operations while maintaining commitments to quality craftsmanship, timeless design, and environmental responsibility.
As Sourcing Manager for Sweaters, you will lead end-to-end vendor management for the sweater category. Your responsibilities include identifying and vetting potential suppliers, evaluating them against quality, cost, speed, reliability, and scalability criteria, then pitching and onboarding successful partners. You'll establish vendor relationships through structured onboarding, performance management via weekly and monthly business reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You will drive cost optimization and margin targets by collaborating with merchants and procurement teams. A key focus is building speed and scalability into the supply chain—working with vendors to implement material staging, capacity planning, and data-driven replenishment strategies. You'll ensure all partners meet legal, ethical, and sustainability standards, including fair labor practices and relevant certifications.
Risk management is critical: you'll identify counter-sourcing opportunities, establish backup vendors, and develop contingency plans. Throughout, you'll act as an ambassador for Quince, building deep, trust-based relationships with partners and serving as a bridge between vendor operations and internal functional teams.
This role requires 10+ years of sourcing and merchandising experience specifically in sweater categories, with a proven track record as a self-starter. You should have strong analytical skills, vendor negotiation expertise, and a commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
