Quince, a Series D direct-to-consumer home essentials company founded in 2018, is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Mattress & Utility Bedding to lead North American supplier strategy and operations. The role focuses on scouting and onboarding high-quality vendor partners with fast production lead times, managing existing supplier relationships, and driving operational excellence across the mattress and bedding category.
Key responsibilities include identifying and vetting North American manufacturers, establishing clear test-period criteria and scalability assessments, and managing supplier capacity at both supplier and style levels to support company growth. You will drive product excellence and faster development cycles by identifying operational bottlenecks and proposing solutions, with a goal of improving hit-rate launches (reviews, returns, sales). The role requires strategic understanding of the sourcing landscape, trade benefits, and cost optimization opportunities for products destined for the USA, Canada, and Europe.
You will act as an ambassador to supplier partners, building and deepening relationships through continuous improvement initiatives. The position demands leadership across functional and geographic boundaries, working with diverse stakeholders to redefine processes and standard operating procedures for speed and efficiency. You'll operate at both strategic (30,000 ft) and tactical (3,000 ft) levels, balancing scrappy problem-solving with structured process improvement.
