Salary: USD 100,000 - 115,000 / annual
Melio is a fast-growing B2B payments platform helping small businesses streamline back-office operations. The Solutions Engineer, US Partnerships role is a hybrid position based in NYC (3 days in-office) focused on driving technical success for Melio's most critical embedded partnerships.
You will serve as the technical lead and primary point of contact for strategic partners integrating Melio's payments platform via APIs and SDKs. Your responsibilities include:
**Lead Technical Onboarding:** Guide partner engineering teams through end-to-end integration and configuration of Melio's embedded solutions, ensuring smooth and rapid time-to-market.
**Troubleshooting & Resolution:** Act as the first technical escalation point during pre- and post-launch phases. Rapidly diagnose, reproduce, and resolve integration hurdles, complex technical setup issues, and API usage errors. Escalate to engineering teams when needed.
**Engineering Liaison & Advocacy:** Bridge partner technical teams and Melio's internal Engineering and Product teams. Communicate clearly, document partner requirements, and initiate escalations for code fixes, deep investigations, or significant product enhancements.
**Technical Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:** Contribute to and maintain high-quality technical documentation, integration guides, and best-practice examples to accelerate future partner adoption.
**Solution Design & Strategy:** Work with Business Development and Product teams to understand partner use cases, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and architect optimal integration solutions.
You'll be part of the Partnerships Integration team within the Product Engineering group. The team works with modern technologies including React, Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS microservices in an agile, collaborative environment. **Requirements:**
- 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical position in a product-led tech environment (Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Partner Engineering), specifically focused on API/SDK integrations
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern software development practices
- Hands-on experience writing SQL queries against relational databases; ability to understand database schemas and table relationships to retrieve and validate data
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences (engineers, product managers, executive stakeholders)
- Experience diagnosing and solving multi-system technical challenges under pressure
- Highly motivated, proactive, capable of managing multiple concurrent partner engagements with high autonomy
