Nearmap is seeking a Solution Product Manager for Government to own the product strategy and execution for their government-focused geospatial solutions. You'll work with government agencies that handle critical functions like property assessment, land development, public safety, and disaster response.
In this role, you'll serve as the Product Owner for a delivery stream, partnering with senior product leaders to define requirements and priorities. You'll translate customer and business needs into actionable requirements for the engineering team, own product metrics and performance tracking, and lead backlog grooming and priority refinement. You'll become the go-to expert on government use cases, building deep knowledge of workflows, pain points, and industry-specific challenges across property assessment, land development, public safety, portfolio management, and disaster response.
Relationship-building is core to this role. You'll regularly connect with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to surface customer pain points and opportunities. You'll talk directly with customers to understand how they use Nearmap's products and identify upselling opportunities. You'll listen to sales and customer success calls, dig into call recordings for insights, and share learnings with stakeholders in ways that drive action. You'll also connect with ecosystem partners—technology platforms, channel partners, analysts, and media—to raise Nearmap's profile.
The focus is on growing and refining what's already working for government customers, not building new product lines from scratch. Strong execution, stakeholder management, and deep geospatial expertise matter more than 0-to-1 product creation. You'll need to balance strategic ownership with hands-on execution: gathering insights, writing requirements, driving delivery priorities, and tracking performance.
