Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building advanced military systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for real-time command and control. The Robotics Data Foundation (RDF) team builds Anduril's vehicle telemetry backbone, from onboard systems to cloud infrastructure. As a Software Engineer on the RDF team, you will design and build cloud systems that ingest, normalize, store, and expose vehicle telemetry data across Anduril's fleet of defense robotics. Your responsibilities include: • Building reliable, high-availability cloud data systems that ingest high volumes of telemetry across the organization • Designing extensible telemetry and data architectures that enable easy integration of diverse, platform-specific data sources into standardized ingestion frameworks • Enabling real-time data-driven engineering by delivering live telemetry streams and recorded data to cloud destinations and analysis tools for engineers, operators, and test teams across locations • Building cloud-native systems that are also edge-compatible, including deployment to classified environments and offline/air-gapped settings • Partnering closely with business line engineering teams to understand specific data requirements and iteratively deliver solutions The platform powers software and hardware development, test & evaluation workflows, production incident response, and contractual customer reporting today, and underpins new product development, fleet-wide analysis, simulation, and machine learning workflows. Anduril operates the world's largest defense robotics data asset, and the RDF team is working to operationalize it across the board. REQUIREMENTS: • Experience with modern lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta Lake) • Experience with ETL systems (Flyte, Dagster, Airflow, Argo Workflows) • Experience with distributed data processing engines (Spark, Trino, etc.) • Experience developing and operating high-throughput streaming data pipelines (Spark Streaming, Flink, Kafka) • Strong proficiency in Python, Java, Rust, and/or Go (team predominantly uses Python & Rust for core backend services and pipelines) • Experience building and operating cloud systems, including containerization and deployability technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps systems like FluxCD / ArgoCD) • U.S. Person status required (position accesses export-controlled data) • Eligibility to obtain/maintain US Top Secret clearance is desirable
