You will join as a Software Engineer II focused on full-stack development with a strong backend emphasis. Your primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET Core/.NET 5+, implementing and consuming APIs that support React-based frontend applications, and writing unit and integration tests for both backend and frontend components. You will work with existing SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies, and leverage AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to accelerate development and improve code quality.

**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience developing backend applications using .NET Core or .NET 5+
- 4+ years of experience building frontend applications with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of SQL Server or PostgreSQL
- Experience writing unit tests and familiarity with common testing frameworks
- Proficiency with Git and standard version control workflows
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern developer productivity workflows
- Exposure to microservices or service-oriented architecture
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized development (Docker)
- Cloud experience with AWS or similar platforms
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, JWT, RBAC)
- Experience with GraphQL, message queues, or event-driven systems
- Prior experience or domain knowledge in K–12 education, Student Information Systems, or EdTech
