Salary: CAD 142,538 - 235,736 / annual
Braze is a leading customer engagement platform that empowers brands to deliver personalized experiences at scale. We're seeking a Software Engineer II to join our WhatsApp team, which is responsible for building, scaling, and expanding Braze's suite of global messaging channels including WhatsApp, LINE, and Kakao.
The WhatsApp team owns all sending, analytics, and subscription management components of Braze's product, including a feature-rich dashboard for composing messages and a highly parallelized platform for sending and processing messaging events.
In this role, you will collaborate with teammates to build new features, improve system performance, and provide guidance on key architectural decisions. You'll tackle significant engineering challenges such as architecting new iterations of critical components and optimizing systems for resilience as they scale. QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-4 years of full-stack development experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
- Self-starter with great communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience working in a team environment
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional experience with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, or TypeScript
- Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
- Experience with agile processes
