Higgsfield AI is seeking a Software Engineer for Business Engineering to build and operate an internal platform that powers the Growth team. You will own features end-to-end—from data modeling and API design through launch, adoption, and production support—turning operational bottlenecks into software solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating growth team problems into features, defining minimal viable releases and building across backend and frontend
- Owning database schemas, query performance optimization, and safe migrations on live PostgreSQL databases
- Building third-party integrations handling API quotas, rate limits, retries, and webhooks
- Designing payment and messaging workflows that are safe to retry without duplicate payouts or sends, maintaining audit trails
- Shipping LLM features and measuring quality, latency, and cost per result
- Managing environments, releases, monitoring, security, and access; sharing on-call responsibility
- Defining success metrics, tracking adoption post-launch, and iterating on shipped features
The tech stack includes Python and TypeScript, Node.js and Python services, React with server-side rendering, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions CI/CD, and LLM APIs from major providers. The team ships daily with shifting priorities and occasional urgent production issues requiring flexibility.
Interview process: recruiter screen, technical deep-dive on a system you shipped, practical task on a real backlog problem (NDA), product interview on turning a growth problem into a small release, then offer.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Production experience building and operating backend systems; ability to explain decisions, personal contribution, and results
- Strong Python and full-stack delivery; comfortable building backend services and React screens as needed
- Deep PostgreSQL knowledge: data modeling, query plans, indexes, transactions, locking, live database migrations
- API security expertise: authentication, object-level authorization, role isolation, IDOR prevention, access testing
- Hands-on operations: Linux, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, production debugging from logs
- High agency and ownership; ability to identify problems, remove blockers, and follow through independently
- Low ego; openness to direct feedback and willingness to change with evidence
- Energy for intense pace; comfort with daily shipping, shifting priorities, and occasional out-of-hours production support
Bonus: experience with influencer marketing, affiliate programs, creator payouts, large-scale YouTube data, email deliverability, LLM evaluations, or prompt regression tracking.
