Vital Lyfe is a climate-tech company building personal water-making technology to scale where infrastructure cannot reach. You'll be the first full-time software engineer on a new team, working directly with the Head of Software to own substantial backend and data systems that power manufacturing, operations, and product delivery.
You'll build and maintain data pipelines that capture test and production data from the manufacturing line, validate and store it, and create views for teams to track yield and failures. You'll build, extend, and maintain backend services and system integrations on AWS, ensuring data reliability across the company. You'll own your work end-to-end: design, test, ship, debug, and maintain in production.
You'll help shape technical roadmap decisions, build internal tools that give engineering and operations teams real-time visibility into production and manufacturing workflows, and contribute across the software stack including the manufacturing execution system (MES) and handheld floor app. The tech stack includes TypeScript, Python, React, and AWS.
This is an early-stage, high-growth startup where you'll have significant ownership and influence on how the software team operates. You'll work at the intersection of software and hardware, helping scale breakthrough technology in water security and climate resilience.
