Sportradar's Live Data unit is responsible for developing, delivering, and globally distributing real-time sports data across 30+ sports disciplines, including e-sports, serving rights holders, media organizations, and betting companies worldwide.
The Wrocław development team focuses on two core systems: the In-Game Pipeline (collecting source data from scouts and AI-driven computer vision) and Prediction Markets (ultra-low-latency feeds optimized for client needs).
In this role, you will own complex technical initiatives from design through production in a mission-critical, real-time environment serving millions of users daily. You'll design and build scalable, high-performance Java services running 24/7 on AWS cloud-native architecture. You'll take independent ownership of initiatives, contribute to architectural decisions affecting the entire platform, mentor engineers through code review and pairing, and drive improvements to code quality, testing practices, and team standards. You'll collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction and build deep expertise in one of the industry's most technically demanding real-time data environments.
The role emphasizes ownership, mentorship, and influence beyond immediate deliverables. You'll work with a distributed international team across Europe, Asia, and the US, with flexible working hours but a strong emphasis on in-person collaboration in Wrocław for innovation and knowledge sharing.

- Natural mentoring ability and skill in delivering direct, constructive technical reviews
- Deep understanding of testing strategy, CI/CD practices, and engineering excellence
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong advantage: experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale
