Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, focused on delivering 10-100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. The company operates across the full stack—acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them with teams spanning hardware and software.
As a Software Engineer in AI Automation, you'll work on the Decision Team, which automates the delivery of gigawatts by turning every process from land to live compute into software. You'll tackle problems including:
- Building the hiring machine as software: automating recruiting systems, interviewer supply/load visibility, and onboarding generation.
- Building the cash view the company runs on: deriving near-term spend forecasts, creating order schedules and cash demand curves from purchase orders and build milestones.
- Building a capital pipeline from approved budget to released capital to spent dollar, gated on build milestones with automated proof chains for financing drawdowns.
- Parsing MSAs, change orders, and side letters into structured obligations, prices, deadlines, penalties, and SLAs.
- Embedding forward-deployed with finance, treasury, accounting, legal, and people teams to turn approvals, contract terms, and reconciliations into structured data and generated work.
The company culture emphasizes full autonomy ("be a barrel"), insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and building things that matter. You'll work end-to-end on problems, take on scope without asking, and drive adoption with non-engineering experts like finance leads, lawyers, and recruiters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to pick up whatever language the problem demands.
- Built real features on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks.
- Work daily with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor; experience getting agents doing useful work autonomously.
- Identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction or approval.
- Moved fast under deadline while leaving foundations other engineers extended.
- Earned credibility with experts outside engineering (finance, legal, recruiting, audit) and driven adoption of software in their real deadlines.
- Product taste demonstrated in shipped work: controllers, recruiters, or lawyers find your interface obvious and workflow matches actual work.
- Bonus: ERP and fixed asset accounting; FP&A, cash forecasting, and capital planning; structured finance or treasury operations; contract lifecycle systems; ATS and HRIS integrations (Ashby, Greenhouse, Rippling, Workday); LLM extraction over legal and financial documents.
