True Anomaly is building autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors to secure the space environment for the U.S. and its allies. As Software Commodity Manager, you will own the complete strategy, sourcing, and vendor management for all software licenses, SaaS platforms, and technology subscriptions across the company—from engineering simulation and CAD tools to PLM/PDM systems, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity platforms.
You will lead the end-to-end procurement process: defining requirements with technical stakeholders, issuing RFPs, evaluating vendor proposals, and driving award decisions. You'll build and maintain a comprehensive software vendor catalog and license inventory to ensure visibility into current deployments and upcoming renewals. Your role includes developing market intelligence on software pricing benchmarks, licensing trends, and vendor negotiation leverage to inform strategic decisions.
You will manage complex vendor relationships and negotiate software agreements with confidence, ensuring True Anomaly secures the right tools at competitive costs with favorable terms. You'll work closely with IT, engineering, legal, and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements—critical in the defense and aerospace sector. This is an opportunity to build a scalable software procurement function from the ground up at a high-growth, mission-driven company operating in the space domain.
