Zynga, a global leader in interactive entertainment and label of Take-Two Interactive, is seeking a Software Architect to join its AI team and drive technical vision across the company's game portfolio. In this role, you will design and architect scalable AI systems, full-stack applications, and cloud infrastructure running on AWS, with a focus on LLM-powered services and agentic workflows.
You will own cross-cutting architecture decisions and technical strategy for AI tools that multiple game studios and engineering teams depend on. Key responsibilities include establishing and upholding engineering standards around code quality, testing, review culture, CI/CD, and reliability practices. You will advocate for and implement new AI technologies and frameworks, keeping the team at the forefront of a rapidly evolving landscape, and evaluate AI platforms and infrastructure with a long-term strategic lens.
You will document comprehensive plans for architecture and system designs across the AI tooling ecosystem, work collaboratively across game studios, product, and central technology teams to understand developer needs and propose AI-driven solutions that improve productivity, and establish engineering processes and metrics to measure software quality and operations. You will partner with stakeholders on realistic scoping and sequencing, flag technical risks early, and coach and mentor engineers on the team.
Zynga's games—including FarmVille, Words With Friends, Zynga Poker, Game of Thrones Slots Casino, Toon Blast, Empires & Puzzles, and many others—have been downloaded over 6 billion times and connect players in 175+ countries.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8+ years of professional experience in cloud-based software development
- Experience with AI/ML systems integration at the platform layer
- Demonstrated expertise in Python across multiple programming languages, architectures, and system types
- Strong familiarity and experience with AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Experience with containers and Kubernetes/EKS
- Experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL)
- Deep understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging, and performance optimization
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
- Familiarity with web development using JavaScript, Angular, and React is a plus
