N26, a digital-first bank headquartered in Berlin, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Continuous Deployment Team within Platform Engineering. The Platform Engineering segment provides self-service platforms enabling other teams to build, deploy, and monitor business applications with minimal friction. As one of Europe's first banks hosted entirely in the cloud, N26 maintains high standards of security, resilience, and productivity using modern technology. In this role, you will maintain, implement, and optimize the systems and applications powering N26's CI/CD infrastructure. You will shape and influence the company's continuous deployment strategy, empowering development teams to deliver features faster while improving security and compliance posture. Key responsibilities include implementing security and compliance checks as a service within the CD pipeline, standardizing pipelines to raise user autonomy, mentoring other engineers, and participating actively in roadmap definition and prioritization. You will also stay on top of incidents and production deployment issues to ensure stable and predictable delivery. N26 operates in Unix-like environments with a primary focus on AWS cloud infrastructure, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and Kubernetes (EKS) for workload orchestration. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technologies, a diverse international team of 1,500+ employees across 80+ nationalities, and the opportunity to influence banking technology at scale. REQUIREMENTS: Must Have: - Experience with at least one high-level programming language and its ecosystem (Python, Go, TypeScript, or Kotlin preferred) - Strong understanding of Linux, particularly networking, containerization, and security - Experience with cloud service providers, ideally AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS is primary) - Experience planning, building, and supporting scalable CI/CD pipelines using trunk-based development or GitHub Flow - Ability to deliver changes to production in minutes, not days (outside mobile constraints) Nice to Have: - Experience in strict security- and compliance-oriented environments - Understanding of integrated CD platforms such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD - Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible, Salt) - Knowledge of Kubernetes administration and EKS
