Aviso, a leading Canadian wealth management organization, is seeking a Settlement Service Analyst to join its Operations team in Toronto. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for processing and monitoring inbound and outbound SWIFT messages, ensuring all settlement obligations are met and settlement instructions are validated. Your core responsibilities include: - Setting up and matching trades on CDS, Arrow, or SWIFT platforms within industry standards - Managing daily SWIFT message processing, ensuring timely transmission and distribution to settlement instruction systems - Matching trade confirmations with other institutions and resolving discrepancies - Coordinating with counterparties, brokerage firms, and custodians to resolve unmatched or unprocessed trades - Ensuring all trades are processed and settled within required timeframes - Balancing and correcting processing issues using reports from CDS and Dataphile systems - Maintaining and tracking failed trades, documenting reasons for failures - Reconciling monthly statements from external sources - Creating and following settlement team procedures and SWIFT process documentation - Managing daily settlement files and maintaining proper record storage You will work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and accuracy are critical. The role may require flexibility with work hours due to industry demands and occasional weekend or statutory holiday work. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of office environment experience, preferably in securities operations with familiarity in Dataphile, CDS, and DTC systems. SWIFT operations experience (1-3 years) is valued. You should be self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently while meeting regulatory requirements. Strong organizational skills, time management, and customer service orientation are essential. Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency required. English fluency is mandatory; French bilingualism is an asset. Industry certifications like CSC or IFIC Operations are beneficial but not required.
