SEON is a fraud prevention and AML compliance platform serving thousands of companies globally, including Revolut, Wise, and Bilt. The company has helped clients reduce fraud by 95% and achieve 32x ROI.
You will take technical ownership of SEON's global website and build a faster, more scalable and reliable web platform. This is a hands-on engineering role with significant autonomy and ownership. You'll work closely with the Website Manager, Marketing, Design and SEO teams to turn business requirements into robust, reusable solutions that enable campaigns, experimentation and scaling without unnecessary developer dependencies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain custom Gutenberg blocks, patterns and page templates to enable content scaling without developer involvement
- Own the custom SEON theme and plugin codebase: maintenance, refactoring, documentation and technical debt paydown
- Own the build pipeline and releases: Git workflow, staging, deployments to WP Engine, and rollback procedures
- Own site security: hardening, vulnerability monitoring, plugin/theme updates, and incident response
- Own site performance: Core Web Vitals, edge and object caching, and page speed optimization
- Plan and deliver platform upgrades (WordPress core, PHP, MySQL) with full compatibility testing across the multisite network
- Ensure all changes work across three locales (EN, ES, PT-BR), including multilingual and hreflang behavior
- Maintain site integrations: forms, CRM, analytics, tag management, and cookie consent
- Implement technical SEO and accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA compliance) with the SEO team
- Set and uphold engineering standards: code review, coding conventions, monitoring, backups and recovery testing
- Scope and estimate requests from marketing and design; provide technical direction to agencies or freelancers
- Run cross-browser and cross-device testing before every release using tools like BrowserStack
You'll be proactive in identifying opportunities to improve the platform, challenge technical decisions when necessary, and take pride in building a website that performs well both visually and behind the scenes.
