Branch is transforming insurance through data, technology, and automation. This Senior Territory Manager role owns a defined state (or set of states) and drives growth in bound premium and policy count through the independent agency channel. You'll be the face of Branch to agency principals and producers, building relationships, driving adoption of Branch's quoting tools, and coaching agencies to write business aligned with Branch's appetite. This is a relationship-first, field-based role where your in-person presence in the territory is the product. You set your own call plan, decide where your time is best spent across your agency base, and are accountable for hitting your production target. You'll build and segment a target agency list, maintain a pipeline view of appointed agencies and quoting trends, and run a consistent cadence of in-person visits, lunch-and-learns, and local events. You'll ask for specific production commitments, pitch Branch's frictionless value proposition, educate agencies on ideal risk profiles, and drive quality quoting behavior. You'll activate and retain producing agencies, address objections directly, and report competitive intelligence and product gaps back to inform broader strategy. Success is measured by growth in bound premium and policy count against target, quality of business (% of growth against ideal customer profile), and agent activation (% of target agencies actively producing). You'll report to the Director, Territory Management and partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Underwriting, and Operations to resolve territory-level barriers to production. Branch is remote-first with headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, and additional office space in Missouri and Illinois. The company offers above-market salary, pay equity and transparency, flexible time off with $1,000 vacation stipend after year one, employee stock options, medical/vision/dental coverage, and 401(k) matching. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years in a quota- or target-carrying field sales role with defined geography or book of business ownership. Independent agency distribution, territory/field sales, SaaS sales, or comparable business development role preferred. - Demonstrated accountability to a specific production number. - Experience influencing independent professionals' choices without authority over them. - Existing relationships with independent agencies in assigned state(s) helpful. - Comfort managing high-travel, self-directed field schedule. - Strong in-person presentation and group training skills; ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport. - Consultative selling acumen; ability to diagnose why agencies are/aren't producing and address barriers. - Ability to learn technical, regulated products well enough to teach them. P&C insurance experience preferred but not required; command of underwriting appetite, rating, and agency workflow expected by end of Q1. - Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Branch is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas.
