Cloudsmith is building the operating system for the modern software supply chain, running a global SaaS platform that helps organizations secure, govern, and distribute software artifacts at scale. The company recently raised Series C funding and is on a trajectory toward IPO, backed by top-tier investors.
As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you'll lead the developer experience team, working directly with customers and the developer community to ensure efficient and secure software building across the supply chain. Your responsibilities include providing top-notch technical support to customers, diagnosing and resolving complex product-related issues, and troubleshooting in local environments to identify root causes.
You'll create and maintain detailed documentation, including knowledge base articles and FAQs, to help customers resolve common issues independently. Leveraging your software expertise, you'll build and maintain third-party integrations like Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CircleCI that extend the platform's API, CLI, and Webhook capabilities. You'll act as a customer advocate within the company, sharing feedback, feature requests, and insights with the product development team.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 8+ years in technical product support or software development, and strong application programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript. You must have knowledge of software packaging and distribution concepts, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll work independently and as part of a team, with willingness to participate in on-call rotation supporting customers across multiple time zones.
Preferred experience includes production environment expertise, familiarity with UNIX-like systems, artifact and package management knowledge, cloud infrastructure experience, AWS certifications, open-source contributions, and expertise in REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and software supply chain security tools like Sigstore and Cosign.
