Assured is modernizing insurance claims processing, replacing manual workflows with software solutions that power claims decisions for major insurers. The company addresses a massive market inefficiency—claims processing currently relies on phone calls, faxes, and intuition, costing tens of billions annually. As Senior Technical Sourcer, you will identify and engage exceptional talent for Product, Design, and Engineering teams. You'll partner with recruiters and hiring leaders to translate hiring priorities into creative sourcing strategies and build high-quality pipelines for critical and senior-level roles. Key responsibilities include: • Develop tailored sourcing strategies for Product, Design, and Engineering disciplines, recognizing that each function requires distinct search methods and evaluation signals. • Design creative searches using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean techniques, GitHub, design portfolios, technical blogs, professional communities, conference speaker lists, and unconventional sourcing channels. • Uncover overlooked talent by tracing candidates through shipped products, open-source contributions, portfolio work, engineering blog posts, design communities, conference presentations, and career patterns rather than title-matching alone. • Evaluate candidates thoughtfully: product leaders for judgment and customer insight; designers for craft and systems thinking; engineers for technical depth and architectural judgment. • Craft personalized, credible outreach that connects candidates' specific work, interests, and career motivations to the opportunity. • Build representative pipelines across different backgrounds, industries, company stages, geographies, and career paths while maintaining a high bar. • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to calibrate profiles, share market insights, and adjust sourcing strategies as searches evolve. • Track sourcing activity, engagement, pipeline progress, and search effectiveness to refine strategies and focus effort where it will have greatest impact. • Maintain accurate candidate information in Ashby or similar ATS. • Contribute new research methods, talent insights, tools, and processes that strengthen the sourcing practice. • Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to accelerate research, generate search ideas, personalize outreach, and improve efficiency without sacrificing accuracy or human judgment. You thrive on the hunt and genuinely enjoy sourcing. You think beyond job titles and familiar company lists, using adjacent experience, career patterns, portfolios, and community participation to uncover exceptional talent. You understand how Product, Design, and Engineering functions operate differently and can build the fluency required to source credibly across disciplines. You write concise, personalized outreach that feels human and earns attention. You treat sourcing as iterative, learn from market feedback, and quickly adapt when strategies aren't producing results. You use data thoughtfully while recognizing that metrics require context. You're excited about AI tools but understand the importance of accuracy, privacy, and authentic engagement. You communicate clearly and build strong working relationships with recruiters and hiring managers. Requirements: • Demonstrated experience as a technical sourcer or recruiting professional with proven success building pipelines for Product, Design, and/or Engineering roles. • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search techniques, and modern recruiting tools (Ashby, GitHub, portfolio platforms, talent intelligence platforms). • Strong ability to evaluate professional backgrounds, identify transferable experience, and distinguish between keyword matches and truly exceptional candidates. • Excellent written communication skills; ability to craft personalized, credible outreach. • Experience with or enthusiasm for AI tools (Claude, Codex, or similar) for research and outreach acceleration. • Comfort with data and metrics; ability to track sourcing activity, response rates, conversions, and pipeline quality. • Curiosity about Product, Design, and Engineering disciplines; willingness to learn unfamiliar subject matter and ask precise questions. • Commitment to inclusive sourcing practices and building representative pipelines.
