HealthEdge is seeking a Senior Technical Services Engineer to support and optimize ETL processes and software applications for health insurance companies. This role combines hands-on technical troubleshooting with cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable, high-performance healthcare technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing support for ETL pipelines processing large healthcare datasets, ensuring reliability and performance
- Perform production support activities by analyzing issues, troubleshooting technical problems, and delivering immediate solutions
- Collaborate with customers to diagnose and resolve software-related issues effectively
- Deploy, orchestrate, and monitor jobs across environments
- Create detailed process documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance system efficiency
- Participate in team meetings and scrum activities to align on support strategies
- Provide occasional weekend support for critical issues
- Interface with developers, business analysts, delivery managers, QA teams, project managers, and account managers
- Use ticketing tools like JIRA for issue tracking and resolution
The role requires working across multiple time zones in a remote environment, with occasional travel dependent on company needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with C#, SQL, and scripting languages
- Expertise in Python, C#, and Shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
- Advanced knowledge of SQL query optimization, stored procedures, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Familiarity with Airflow, Talend Studio, Redix, Azure Service Bus/Kafka messaging platforms
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for deployment automation
- Proficiency with version control systems (Bitbucket/Git)
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats (EDI files: 834, 278, 837, 999)
- Strong communication skills and Agile methodology experience
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like Azure pipelines
- Knowledge of claim systems (Facets or Health Rules Payor)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools for proactive issue detection
